Sometimes we can find our outer and inner selves are misaligned. Why is this?
At some time in our lives we will have developed these templates as coping strategies and sometimes we use them so often they can become stuck. There can even be times when we've used them so often and so long that we start to believe these false personas to be a true representation of ourselves and we can feel lost, disconnected and even like an imposter in our own bodies.
Many of us will have experienced times where we have left a situation and wondered why we behaved the way we did, not like myself at all? Why did I say that? Why was I so upset about this? There can be a lot of why.... in this scenario.
Sometimes we can keep people away, holding them at arms length when we really, truly want to make lasting connections. On the flipside, we can sometimes allow people in too easily and end up feeling taken advantage of or resentful.
What can we do about it?
By finding ways to grow our own inner strength, belief and confidence in ourselves and start to really recognise and appreciate our own abilities and capabilities. Really trusting our intuition and regaining a connection with our true selves.
